Amir Lehavot, also known as “AmirSF,” is an Israeli professional poker player living in North Miami Beach. He has accumulated earnings exceeding $6.2M from live tournaments, with his highest live cash totaling $3.7M. In addition to his poker career, he won a WSOP bracelet at the 42nd WSOP in June 2011 and is a founder of PokerWit.
Amir Lehavot, originally from Israel, began playing chess at just five years old and was also a member of the Israeli youth chess team. Later, he moved to Texas to study at the University of Texas in Austin, where he pursued a degree in electrical engineering. After graduating in 1996, he quickly found work in San Jose as a chipset designer for high-end servers.
Lehavot’s first recorded live cash occurred in June 2007. He finished 13th in a $500 + 50 No Limit Hold’em at the Battle of the Bay in San Francisco. He cashed $1,330.
Following Lehavot’s participation in February 2011, where he placed 4th at the L.A. Poker Classic in Los Angeles competing in a $10,000 No Limit Hold’em, he secured a cash prize of $421,680.
In June 2011, he emerged victorious and secured his 1st bracelet at the 42nd WSOP. He played in a $10,000 Pot Limit Hold’em Championship and won $573,456.
In March 2013, he participated in a $1,900 + 100 No Limit Hold’em – Shooting Star Event at the World Poker Tour – Bay 101. He finished in 1st place again and won $140,500.
Later that year, at the 44th WSOP in July 2013, he competed in the $10,000 World Championship – No Limit Hold’em (Event #62). Wang secured 3rd place and achieved his biggest live cash prize of $3,727,823.
During the 50th WSOP in June 2019, he joined in a $800 No Limit Hold’em – Deepstack 8-Handed Event #53. Lehavot finished 2nd place and cashed for $229,410.
