Allyn Jaffrey Shulman is an American professional poker player and former criminal defense attorney from Laguna Niguel, California, with over $1.6 million in live tournament earnings. Her best live cash of $603,713 came when she won at the 43rd WSOP in June 2012.

In 1986, Allyn became an attorney and transitioned to an attorney for Card Player in August 2006. She is married to poker pro Barry Shulman, who is the CEO of Card Player Media. Allyn was inducted into the Women in Poker Hall of Fame in 2014.

Allyn Shulman won her first bracelet and became the first female champion at the WSOP after a record-long drought of 249 consecutive open events.

Allyn’s first recorded live cash occurred in October 2001 at Howard ‘Tahoe’ Andrew Celebrity Challenge in San Jose. She finished in 10th place in a $10 No Limit Hold’em, cashing $631.

Then, in June 2005, Allyn entered in a $2,500 Omaha Hi/Lo at the 36th WSOP in Las Vegas. She finished in 6th place, taking home $41,285.

In June 2012, Allyn made his mark by securing her first bracelet at the 43rd WSOP. She won her biggest live cash of $603,713 in Event #29, the $1,000 No Limit Hold’em Seniors Championship.

Later in July 2013, she clinched another victory at Deep Stack Extravaganza III in a $5,00 No Limit Hold’em Main Event, winning a prize of $293,966.

In the following years, Allyn was eliminated in 5th place at Deepstack Extravaganza 3.5 in Septemer 2016. She earned a prize of $60,000 in a $3,500 No Limit Hold’em $1 Million GTD Event.

Allyn played in Bracelet Event #98, the $1,500 No Limit Hold’em The Closer Bracelet Event at the 55th WSOP in July 2024. She finished in 12th place, pocketing $32,940.

In November 2024, Allyn competed in a $550 Mixed Games: CardPlayer Lifestyle H.E.R.O.S. Event #23 at the NAPT in Las Vegas. She ended up in 10th place, earning $1,260.
