Alex Foxen is an American professional poker player born on February 1st,1991 from Huntington, New York. At the age of 21, he won his first World Series of Poker circuit event in New Orleans.
He attended Boston College, and played on the school’s football team. Playing at the National Football League was his first true passion. He started playing poker at the age of 21 after graduating from the University. Foxed frequently Played online for a few years and then transitioned to play live poker in 2016.
Alex Foxen is married to fellow professional poker player Kristen Bicknell now known as Kristen Foxen.
in 2017 he finished as a runner up in the Five Diamond World Poker Classic at the World Poker Tour for more than $1,134,000.
In 2018, he earned more than $6.6 million and won High Roller events on the World Poker Tour and Asia Pacific Tour. He managed to join the Party Poker Tour event in Nottingham, England for $947,000 and Super High Roller Bowl for $2,160,000. Received from Global Poker Index as Player of the Year honors. Also, ranked #1 for 38 consecutive weeks from October 2018 to June 2019, a GPI record.
Alex made it to the final table of the Five Diamond World Poker Classic 2019. He defeated Toby Joyce heads -up and won the tournament earning almost $1.7 million. This is when he won his first ever WPT title. Winning the WPT put him on top of GPI’s Player of the Year for the second straight year.
Early 2020 in WPT, he won at the $25,000 NLHE- High Roller and bagged $249,950. Another win was from Poker Masters Online at the $10,000 + 300 NLHE for $309,677. He continuously plays poker online both WPT and WSOP. in addition to his cashes, he ranked first at the $10,000 NLHE in Wynn High Rollers, Las Vegas for $108,000.
During the PokerGo Tour 2021 in Las Vegas, he made consistent appearances and amazing performances. He won two tournaments this year. First at the $10,000 NLHE Cup #1, he won the $178,200 top prize. Then at the $10,000 NLHE – Aria High Roller 32 for $105,845.
2022 was an outstanding year for Alex when he also won at the WSOP Super High Roller for $4,563,700. He began his 2022 by joining the PokerGo Tour. At the Venetian High Roller #3, Alex won $153,615. This win was followed by another win at the US Poker Open for $283,500.
Alex Foxen is the only back-to-back Global Poker Index Player of the Year in the history of poker. The professional poker star has a Total Live Earnings of $29,921,751 with Best Cash of $4,563,700. He is ranked 21st in the All Time Money List.
