Aleksei Platonov: Poker Career

His poker journey began on August 9th, 2011, at the Russian Poker Tour – RPT Odessa event in Ukraine. Participating in the $550 No Limit Hold’em – Crazy Bounty tournament, he displayed his prowess despite finishing 13th, walking away with a respectable $400 bounty prize.

Fast forward to April 30th, 2014, during the European Poker Tour (EPT) Monte Carlo Grand Final in Monaco. Platonov ventured into the intense competition of the €25,500 No Limit Hold’em – High Roller 8 Max event, securing 23rd place and a substantial prize of $78,489.

In the following years, Platonov continued to make his mark on the international poker scene. On August 26th, 2016, at the European Poker Tour (EPT) Barcelona event in Spain, he navigated through tough competition in the €10,300 No Limit Hold’em – High Roller 8 Handed tournament, finishing 60th but still netting €19,200 ($21,651).

His determination and skill were evident once again on May 12th, 2023, during the Triton Poker Super High Roller Series Cyprus in Kyrenia. Platonov participated in the $30,000 No Limit Hold’em – Mystery Bounty 6-Handed event, claiming the 18th spot and a prize of $29,300.

Undeterred by challenges, Platonov returned the next day for the $40,000 No Limit Hold’em – 8-Handed event, finishing 12th and securing a hefty $90,000 prize.

His latest endeavor took place on October 3rd, 2023, at the Sochi October Fest event in Russia. Platonov tested his skills in the ₽53,900 No Limit Hold’em – Classic Deep Stack tournament, ultimately clinching 8th place and adding $1,352 to his winnings.
