Al Emerson’s first recorded live cash occurred in May 1985 at the 16th WSOP in Las Vegas. He finished in 2nd place in a $1,000 No Limit Hold’em, securing his best live cash of $60,800.

Then, in June 1987, Al placed 3rd at the Knights of the Round Table. He pocketed $20,250 in a $2,500 No Limit 2-7 Draw event.

In the following years, in May 1990, Al entered in a $10,000 No Limit Hold’em – World Championship at the 21st WSOP. He finished in 14th place and cashed $12,500.

In September 1995, Al finished in 4th place at the Four Queens Poker Classic in Las Vegas. He pocketed $8,612 in a $500 No Limit Hold’em event.

Later on May 2, 1996, he was eliminated in 5th place at the 27th WSOP in a $2,500 7 Card Stud Split, earning $14,100.

Just a few days later, on May 6, 1996, Al played in the $3,000 No Limit Hold’em from the same series. He also finished in 5th place, taking home $25,050.
