Aaron Shu Nu Zang: Early Life

Hailing from Macau, Aaron was born and raised in the vibrant city.. During high school, he played Magic: The Gathering, thereby winning a Chinese championship in the card game. He graduated from university in 2005 and, in 2013, founded a company specializing in Bitcoin in Shenzhen.

He embarked on his professional journey in 2007, accumulating over one decade of experience in the industry. 

Aaron Shu Nu Zang: Poker Career

In November 2007, Aaron initiated his poker journey during the Asia Pacific Poker Tour – APPT in Macau, Taipa. Making his debut in live tournaments, he secured an impressive 4th place in the HK$ 3,770 No Limit Hold’em event. Ultimately cashing for $1,783.

Continuing his success, in May 2015 at the Asia Pacific Poker Tour in Macau, Zang showcased his skill by securing 2nd place in the HK$ 95,000 + 5,000 No Limit Hold’em event. where he earned $220,681. 

November of 2016 saw Aaron securing 5th place in HK$ 480,000 + 20,000 No Limit Hold’em event. It happened during the 2016 Asia Championship of Poker (ACOP) in Macau. He accumulated a cash prize of $248,200 respectively. In November 2018, his participation in Jeju Red Dragon 2018 resulted in a commendable 6th place finish in the KRW 57,000,000 + 3,000,000 No Limit Hold’em event. He took home $156,848.


Fast forward to August 2019, he achieved the pinnacle of his career at the Triton Poker Super High Roller Series in London. He Won the £1,050,000 No Limit Hold’em Triton Million for Charity event for $16,775,820, the largest single payout in poker tournament history.

His latest live tournament in March 2023 at the Triton Poker Super High Roller Series Vietnam, Hoi An, saw him secure the top spot and a cash prize of $1,544,000 in the $100,000 No Limit Short Deck Hold’em main event.
