On May 18th, we saw a $25/$50/$100 game on Hustler Casino Live. There was an interesting hand that developed between Pepe and GT, where Pepe came from way behind and managed to split the pot.
The action limped to the Button player who raised to $300. GT in Small Blind called with Q♦️J♦️ and $143,350 in his stack. Pepe in Big Blind with A♠️9♠️ and $97,150 in his stack, made a 3-bet of $1,300, followed by the third Blind who made a 4-bet of $4,000. The Button player, as well as GT, and when the action arrived back at Pepe, he made a 5-bet of $26,300.
This triggered the third Blind and the button player to fold while GT called and they went heads-up to the flop with a pot of $60,7k.
J♠️K♣️6♣️ came down and flopped middle pair for GT and partially opened the door for the back door straight draw for Pepe. GT checked and Pepe bet $40,000, more than half his stack at that point. GT then shoved all-in for Pepe’s effective stack of $70,900 which he called and they agreed to run it twice from the turn.
On the first turn, Q♣️ came down and out GT way out in front with two pair. Although the turn brought Pepe one card closer to the broadway straight, the river was a dead draw for him and GT claimed the first runout.
In the second run, A♣️ came out and made top pair for Pepe, now putting him in front. Miraculously, another Ace came out on the river and they chopped up the $202,6k pot, a massive save for Pepe after being way behind.
