Jboogs Is Put to the Test on the River By Nick Vertucci

Will Jboogs Be able to Escape on The River?

Check out this hand that took part in the Ante game, played at Hustler Casino Live. It was live streamed on Hustler Casino’s YouTube channel on the 9th January 2024. The hand was played between Nick Vertucci & Jeremy “Jboogs” Levin. With the blinds being $25/$50 with every player paying a $25 ante into the pot.

the action began with limps from Francisco, Mike X, Nikos & Big John. In the High-Jack was JBoogs ($54,925) who had been dealt the first legitimate hand thus far. He threw in a raise to $300 with AAce of ClubsKKing of Clubs. This was met by a call from Mayhem ($9,125) in the cut-off with QQueen of Spades1010 of Clubs Last to act in the big blind Was Nick ($91,825), who had been dealt a slightly better Queen-ten QQueen of Hearts1010 of Hearts. Often known for his cautious play, Nick threw caution to the wind and chucked in a 3-bet to $1,700. This was enough to get the limpers to fold. With the action now back on Levin, he surprisingly just flatted, as did Mayhem. Three players to the flop with $5,325 in the middle.

What a Flop For JBoogs

The flop was an incredibly good one 99 of ClubsKKing of Diamonds77 of Clubs for Boogs not only had he flopped top pair top kicker, he was also drawing to the nut flush draw. First to act Jeremy checked it over, as did Mayhem. Last to act and with the pre flop initiative Vertucci put out a c-bet of $2,200. Jboogs continued to play his hand passively and just made the call. With just a gutshot as possible outs and a stack not large enough to call for good implied odds, Mayhem made the fold. Heads up to the turn with $9,725 in play.

On the turn was the 66 of Diamonds giving Vertucci a double gutter, he could now hit a Eight or a Jack for a straight. Just as before Jboogs checked it over, this time it was met by a check back from Nick. This can be a sign he is drawing.

There it was, the magical JJoker of Hearts gave Vertucci his straight, will he get paid? Boogs checked it over for a third time which was met by a hefty bet of $6,000 from his opponent. With two clubs in his hand, Jeremy knew it was unlikely Nick was drawing to a flush having two clubs of his own. If Vertucci had just made a hand a straight was the more plausible. Boogs made the call, in fairness it was a very tough spot to be in, not many players are capable of making such a fold.
