Dusk till Dawn Launches New Friday Night Stream

Rob Yong’s Dusk till Dawn Launches Weekly Friday Night Poker Stream

Uk Based casino Dusk Till Dawn which is owned by Rob Yong launched their pilot episode of their new Live poker stream”Friday Night Poker at Dusk till Dawn”. The lineup was an all British affair with Sam Trickett (2nd on the all time England money list) making a return to poker. His last cash in an MTT came in 2020. During partypoker LIVE – partypoker MILLIONS Sochi Super High Roller Series where he took down the $25,500 event cashing for $435,000.

The stream was a festive one with players donning Christmas jumpers and woolly hats featuring elf ears. However, the absence of a commentator dampened the atmosphere. Making it a bit challenging for the new poker show to truly shine and reflect on what should have been a true Xmas stream party. On the other side of the coin the lack of a commentator allowed the viewers to fully immerse themselves in the table talk.

The action was live streamed on Dusk till Dawn’s YouTube channel. A relatively small channel with just shy of 5k subscribers. It will take some time for the show to gather momentum, but with Rob yong at the helm the show has incredible potential. No doubt with his connection’s Rob will be able to attract some of the biggest names in poker to participate.

Let’s take a look at a hand from the Xmas Special that featured Alex “British Bulldog” Spencer & David. The blinds were £25/£50/£100.

What a Flop for David

Ian (£6.9k) in the cut-off opened the action with a raise to £600 with JJoker of SpadesJJoker of Clubs, this was met by a 3-bet of £1,700 from Alex (£45.3k) who had been dealt the ladies QQueen of SpadesQQueen of Clubsin the small blind. The under the gun straddler David (£44.8k) had a pocket pair of his own 88 of Spades88 of Hearts. Rather then take the passive approach David played his hand very aggressively putting out a 4-bet of £5,700. Ian surprinsgly folded his Jacks with just £6.9k behind. Alex had no intention of inflating the pot further, and just called with his Queens. The pot stood at £12.2k going to the flop.

What a flop for David 22 of Diamonds88 of Diamonds77 of Hearts he now had the lead with a set of Eight’s. First to act Spencer checked it over to the pre flop aggressor who put out close to a half pot bet ,£6k. This was met with a call and there was now £24.2k in the middle.

The turn was a scare card for both opponent’s when the 44 of Diamonds hit. First to act, this time Alex led out with a very small of £2,400. Unsure of how to respond to the exceedingly small bet David just called.

On the River was another scare card, not only did an ace hit AAce of Diamonds but there was now four diamonds on display. Spencer checked it which was met by a check back. No doubt the Bulldog had been saved by the run out.
