Today we’ll be looking at a hand between two greats, Eric Persson and Daniel Negreanu, in an action-packed $200/$400 No-Limit-Hold’em game on High Stakes Poker, hosted by PokerGo.
Persson limped UTG with K♦️10♥️ into the pot followed by a fold from UTG+1 and an over-call from Negreanu in the High-Jack with K♠️Q♣️. The Cut-Off player folded and Choi on The Button made a raise to $3,000. This triggered folds from the Blinds while Persson and Negreanu called and they went three ways to the flop.
The 3♦️Q♦️K♥️ hit the board on the flop, making top and second pair for Negreanu, and top pair with a diamond flush draw for Persson. Both Persson and Negreanu checked it to Choi on The Button who bet $4,000. Persson then answered with a re-raise to $19,000. Negreanu came with even more heat, making a 3-bet of $64,000. After a fold from the button and some banter at the table, Eric put in a 4-bet of $96,000. This created a situation where Daniel had to push all in to call, which he did and the pot was totaled at $206,000 and they revealed their cards.
No out’s came for Persson on the turn or the river and Negreanu won the massive pot!
