Bill Perkins wins a Huge Pot: On March 26th, in a 100k buy-in Heads-Up match with $200/$400 blinds on the Poker at The Lodge Livestream, between Doug Polk and Bill Perkins, Doug lost one of the biggest pots of his career.
Going into the hand, Doug’s stack was at $318,300 and Bill’s was $91,100. Doug looked down at A♠️10♣️ and Bill had Q♥️Q♣️. Doug, in position, raised to $1,100, answered to by Bill with a 3-bet of $3,800. It went back over to Doug who placed the 4-bet of $13,000, which Bill called making a pre-flop pot of $26,000.
The flop came down J♠️ 2♠️ 6♥️. Doug bet $8,500 which Bill called and down came the turn, a 2♣️. Bill, now in position, quickly checked over to Doug who then bet $52,000, which Bill called without hesitation.
.
The river bricked out with 9♠️ and Doug with nothing on the board, went all-in at $245,500. At this point, Bill looked mind-blown, and Doug had on a brutal poker face, even wholly ignoring Bill’s friendly spirited question of “If I went all-in on pre-flop, would you have called?” After some consideration and some serious tension, Bill looked over to the host and asked her to pick a number between one and seven. The random number she picked led Bill to call, making the pot a mind-blowing $460,000, the biggest in Lode Live Stream history – for now.
